About Our Soap Base

Our soaps are crafted using a premium  SLS-Free Melt & Pour Soap Base, chosen for its gentle, skin-loving qualities. Free from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), this base creates a luxurious lather while remaining mild and kind to even sensitive skin.

Made entirely from vegetable-derived, vegan-friendly ingredients, it offers beautiful clarity—perfect for showcasing colours, botanicals, and artistic designs within each bar. With its naturally high glycerin content, this base leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, and well-hydrated after every use.

The result? Bright, translucent soaps with a rich, creamy foam and a clean, nourishing finish. Ideal for anyone who wants a high-quality, gentle cleanse without compromise.

All of our soaps are crafted in small batches using carefully selected ingredients, but individual sensitivities can vary. If you have a known skin allergy or are prone to reactions, we strongly recommend performing a patch test before first use. Apply a small amount of lather to a discreet area of skin and rinse. Discontinue use immediately if any redness, irritation, or discomfort occurs.

Although every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, all products are produced in the same workspace, and trace amounts of other ingredients may be present. Customers with severe allergies should review the full ingredient list and use their discretion.

Our soaps are intended for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, and keep out of reach of children and pets. By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge that individual responses to skincare ingredients can differ and that we cannot guarantee the absence of allergic reactions.

All orders will be processed within 5 working days and shipped with Evri or Royal Mail, tracked.

Returns & Refund Policy

At Love Emma x, every product is handmade in small batches with care. We want you to be happy with your purchase, so please take a moment to read our returns policy before ordering.

Returns

Due to the nature of cosmetic and personal care products, we cannot accept returns on soaps or skincare items once they have been opened or used. This is to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and product safety.

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or not as expected, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will review the situation and offer a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided the order has not already been dispatched. After this time, cancellations may not be possible.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. Please allow a few working days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Shipping Costs

If a return or refund is required due to an error on our part (such as damage or an incorrect item), we will cover the return postage or send a replacement free of charge.

If the return is due to a change of mind, the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs.

Every soap we make has been fully assessed and approved through an official Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR), as required under UK and EU cosmetic regulations. This independent assessment reviews the formulation, raw materials, manufacturing process, and intended use to ensure the product meets strict safety standards.

Our small-batch soaps may be handcrafted, but each recipe is evaluated by a qualified cosmetic safety assessor before it is offered for sale. This includes analysis of ingredient concentrations, potential allergens, stability, and overall skin compatibility.

CPSR approval means our products are:

• Legally compliant with current cosmetic legislation

• Independently verified as safe when used as directed

• Formulated with clearly assessed ingredients, including fragrance allergens where applicable

• Registered on the appropriate cosmetic portals, ensuring transparency and consumer protection
